Joss Whedon, the Oscar® - and Emmy - nominated writer/director responsible for the worldwide television phenomena of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE, ANGEL and FIREFLY, now applies his trademark compassion and wit to a small band of galactic outcasts 500 years in the future in his feature film directorial debut,
Serenity. The film centers around Captain Malcolm Reynolds, a hardened veteran (on the losing side) of a galactic civil war, who now ekes out a living pulling off small crimes and transport-for-hire aboard his ship, Serenity. He leads a small, eclectic crew who are the closest thing he has left to family –squabbling, insubordinate and undyingly loyal.
I can't WAIT to see this movie! I became a Firefly fan back in June and my diehard passion grows with every step.

Excellent! I won passes to see
Serenity through the Alamo Drafthouse. This is gonna kick so much butt. I have 'em for two nights already. And one of them will be shown at the set of the Alamo.
Shiney!
Firefly rules!
Okay, I didn't think it was that good a poem, but here it is:
Kaylee in my dreams
The smile that gleams
Her rosy cheeks and starry eyes
Pull aside the love struck pride
And glisten by star light.
Kaylee in my arms
Bereft by lack of charm
From a desolate man
Crammed without a plan
Too tight to take a stand.
Kaylee in my heart
Pounding for a place to start
Seek with one try
Removed with but a sigh
If I can't get tickets I'll die.
Maybe they were just trying to save my life. ;)
