Well, I just back from Murphy's in Alexandria where I saw
Ceann. They are every bit as fun as their tongue-in-cheek CD,
Almost Irish. And when they actually played
Irish songs and just the sing-a-longs, it was brilliant hearing how they get the audience involved. They really have something awesome going on. I can see why they're doing as well as they are.
Actually, it was kinda funny. Half-way through the evening, I was really wishing I could jam with Andrew. Or at the very least, I'd love to go into the studio and record some more music.
That's one of the problems being so far away from home. I do most of my recording late at night. That's difficult to do when my mom is trying to sleep because she has to work in the morning. Ah well.
Oh! I just noticed that voting for the
Celtic Music Awards is coming to an end. Vote soon.
And I just posted the latest
Irish & Celtic Music Podcast. It's a
Celtic Christmas special. The only problem is I have to find an alternative place to post the shownotes because friggin' blogger has been updating to the new beta service for the past friggin week!!! ;(
So I guess, check
myspace.

If you're subscribed to
A Brobdingnagian Minute, I posted "Bog Down in Christmas". Andrew may refuse to ever play that song again, but at least it's recorded. (he's not big on parodying songs we already play, hehe)
I also posted a new podcast, of sorts. It's called
Your Weekly Irish Stout. It features pub songs by an Irish pirate band called
Irish Stout, and stars none other than Captain Black Jack Murphy.
Keep an eye open for the
Irish & Celtic Music Podcast. I'm working on a
Celtic Christmas Music special.

When I first started thinking about promoting my CD
Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers, I never imagined I'd actually perform AT a cat show. So when they contacted me with this fascinating proposition, I had to say yes.
So now I get to attend my very first cat show, meow for hundreds of people, and see a part of the country I've never attended. This is brilliant opportunity that I can't wait to be a part of.
