I just finished an exciting new 4-song EP. It's untitled but features a couple new songs ("Monahan's Mudders Milk" and "A Lil Bit O' Love") and a couple of old songs with new arrangements ("Wild Mountain Thyme" and "Beer, Beer, Beer"). It was produced by Rich Brotherton who also produced my latest
cat CD,
Whiskers in the Jar.
What with
Whiskers and
What Color Is Your Dragon needing reviews I thought I'd do something slightly different. I'm gonna give away this EP. The only way you will be able to own a copy of the physical CD is by getting it free right here. I will print only 100 copies of this EP on CD.
Sorry. I decided to only give away 20 of these CDs with this giveaway.
But don't worry. Other chances will come
Keep an eye on my Free CDs? Here's how you can own a copy:
- Listen to either What Color Is Your Dragon? and/or Whiskers in the Jar online.
- When you're done post a review on iTunes and/or CD Baby. I'm not looking for long reviews. A nice paragraph saying how the album made you feel, what you liked or not.
- Once you're posting your review, email me at marc (at) thebards (dot) net. Put "TALK_TO_MARC_GUNN" in the subject line and in the body of the message, post "I want Marc Gunn's Exclusive EP".
Tell me what CD you reviewed and where you posted the review, plus a username used in the review (if you used one).
Include your full name and mailing address in the message. Once I have confirmation of your review, I will send you an autographed copy of the demo when it is released in a few weeks.
That's all that is required to win. However, please share the news about this free CD to your friends.
- Email your friends to read about the CD review
- Post a blog on your favorite social network site(s)
- Tell others once the album is released on CDBaby.
- Cross-post your review on Livejournal, iTunes, Myspace, Facebook, Message Boards, and include a link to the CD.
- Add one of my songs to your profile if you have a Myspace account
- Make a video using songs from the CD
That's it. There will only be 100 copies printed. So post your reviews quick. I'll post here when I'm out of CDs.

This is too cool! I got several posts from people who saw a picture of my CD,
Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers on
Stuff On My Cat. That's a beautiful thing.
I'd love to see more pics of people with my
solo CDs,
T-Shirts, Celtic Cat Wooden Mug, whatever. If you have any fun pictures of those, post them on
Flickr or on
Myspace. Or what about doing a special video with my CDs that you post on YouTube?
Once you've done something, post a comment here where your picture or video is at and I'll send you a free live CD of mine.
