Only Human
by Marc Gunn, Bard 11/27/02
Humble
depression combined with hope can be a powerful thing for someone
who is searching his way for everlasting love.
Yes,
I am only human.
I am man overflowing with weaknesses and faults.
I am unworthy of love and friendship.
I am not worth the air I breathe.
But I
can learn...
And I
can grow...
I can
correct my mistakes with a LOT
of conscious effort.
And through my imperfections...
I will become a better human being. One more deserving of affection.
And mayhaps one day,
more worthy of God's everlasting love.
I wish
it were tomorrow. But if it were, then this day might never end.
So instead, I will patiently think and pray, right now.
I will
listen for God's whispers.
And I will hear Him in the trees and on the leaves.
And with a little bit of mercy, just maybe...
I will
find out...
That
I am no longer
... Only
human.
