Make a Donation
Since 2000, I've given away millions of MP3s online by me and my band the Brobdingnagian Bards... all for free! You may think I'm crazy. Heck, sometimes, I do too. But I do it because I love the emails, phone calls, and comments at shows from fans who love the music I share. Unfortunately, kind comments don't pay the bills.
Did you download my MP3s? Did you enjoy them? Why not make a donation of what you think it is worth... even if that is just one dollar. Seriously. That one dollar goes a long way to helping me continue to provide you with the quality music that I love to share with you.
Guest what? After you make a donation to the link on your left, I'll give you a link to download some special gifts.
Would you prefer to buy MP3s or buy CDs? Fantastic! Your purchases have me recording new music for you very soon.

The Most Amazing Thing Happened
Once upon a time there was a boy who loved music. He loved it so much he constantly pretended he was Elvis Presley. He danced and sang for family and friends. It made them all very happy.
Unexcitedly, that boy became a man. And that man followed his childhood dream.
But there was a problem. First, in college, he made bad financial decisions and spent years buried in debt keeping him from actively achieving that dream. Then, he attained the scariest part of the dream... reality.
It was shocking. Reality was almost scarier than the years buried in debt. This boy had to rely on his musical talent to make a living. He had to learn how to record and sell CDs. He had to learn how to ask for tips at shows. And he had to deal with stingy booking agents as he fought to keep this dream a reality.
Yes. You guessed it. That boy and now man is me, Marc Gunn. I make a living playing music and entertaining people. Yet, the problem is more difficult than ever.
It is kinda scary. I rely on the generosity of people like you, who I may not know, to make my dreams a reality.
In fact, it's a centuries old tradition though. I entertain you. You give me a wee bit o'compensation for the music.
Mind you, I am just as happy to read a kind word from you. But again, it doesn't pay the bills. So why not make a donation. One dollar is fine. Or if you feel really excited and moved by my music, donate two or five or ten or sure, I'd LOVE a hundred dollars (who wouldn't).
Well, whatever you decide. Thank you, thank you, thank you for allowing me to turn my dream to reality. I hope you will continue to enjoy my music for years to come.
Your generosity is important to my music. So thank you for your kindness! |
